Why organic skin care? Organic skin care is created using the same methods and research as plant based skin care. The difference is that organics are the pure ingredient without modern contaminates and are produced in a greener, more sustainable way. When you buy an organic product each container of product can be traced back to the individual grower of each ingredient via its batch number.
What are certified organics? Organics can only be grown, animal or plant. Only the company either growing the ingredients or the company processing them into cosmetics, food etc can claim these products “Certified Organic”. They must have an audit approval by the body with stringent record keeping processes in place. It must be pure and free of additives, grown and processed without artificial methods, such as chemical ripening, irradiation, genetically modified crops and synthetic cleaning materials. Also packaging must be sustainable.
Are our products certified as being organic? Yes. The Natural Green Chemistry Company (ngcco) is certified by the Australian Certified Organic body which is recognised Australia wide as well as internationally.
The Australian Certified Organic body is the primary certification association in Australia to certify businesses and their products as being wholly or primarily organic.
Are our products 100% Organic? Not all products can be classified as organic, no matter how pure because they are not grown – such as purified water, salt or clay. And therefore no cosmetics company can be 100% organic with all of its products. ngcco constantly endeavours to maximise the percentage of organic ingredients in our products.

Are all your ingredients sourced from organic producers and farmers? Yes, all ingredients used in ngcco organic products are certified by the Australian Certified Organic body.
Why are your products listed as a percentage organic? It is rare that a skincare product can be 100% because the organic nature of a product can only be derived from the ingredients that are grown. As such, ingredients such as pure Ivory clay, purified water and Himalayan salt cannot be deemed organic by certification standards as they come from nature in their purest form and are not plant or animal based.
Do we use parabens? No. All ngcco products are completely free of parabens.
Do we use preservatives? ngcco products, wherever possible use natural preservative methods to sustain the life of our products. As all ingredients contain essential oils, these serve to preserve the quality of our products in a way that is not detrimental to the skin or the integrity of the products.
Do we use animal derived ingredients or test on animals? No. Our clinical testing is conducted on human subjects only.
Do we fragrance our products? The scents in ngcco’s organic products are 100% natural as they are derived from the plant-based ingredients within the formulation. ngcco strive to retain each products simplest and most effective form and therefore fragrances are not simply added to increase the attractiveness of the product.
