Yvonne Gemmell is Founder and Chairperson, Natural Green Chemistry Company 
 
Following 13 years of study in aromatherapy and the chemistry of cosmetics, Yvonne Gemmell launched NGCco (the Natural Green Chemistry Company), one of a handful of certified organic processors of skin care in Australia.

At 68 years of age, Yvonne proves it’s never to late to follow one’s dreams.

Yvonne, who was raised on a vertically integrated farm and taught at an early age by her Grandmother that nature is the best chemist for everything, has endured serious life-long allergies from synthetic products. Only after using natural home-developed products did her allergies improve.

In 2008, after being diagnosed with breast cancer, the side effects of chemotherapy on her skin and nails made Yvonne experiment with making serums using oils and extracts with synergistic properties. The results prompted Yvonne to research the new Australian native essential oils and extracts and incorporate them into a complete skincare range.

Overseeing a team of qualified aromatherapists, agricultural scientist and formulating chemists, Yvonne’s dream came into fruition with the birth of the NGCco certified organic beauty range.

Yvonne received her organic certification in December 2008 after an exhaustive audit into her personal ethics, processes and record keeping. All her ingredients, labels and packaging have been approved by the (ACO), and, impressively, Yvonne can trace all her ingredients back to their source; wherever in the world that may be.
